Tobacco The IMS OPTIWIND is a two drum winder for paper and paperboard. It guarantees high working speed, unwinder for very large rolls (both for pope tambours or shaftless), rewinding on two drums with large diameter for ensuring smooth function and perfect winding quality. The two drums are driven by two independent A.C. motors.
The rider roller moves linearly up and down with hydraulically adjustable pressure through proportional valves and it is also driven by a separate motor. The finished reels are unloaded to the floor by a tilting cradle.
A long list of optional features are available for the IMS OPTIWIND, most of which are very popular.
The most common options are the following:
- Automatic empty tambour removal at the unwinder.
- Parking system for the new mother rolls and automatic feeding of the rolls to the unwinder.
- Customized splice table.
- Automatic knives positioning.
- Semi-automatic web in-feed.
- Automatic closing of the last layer of the finished reels and automatic transversal cut as well as unloading.
- Automatic new core loading and glueing at the rewinder.
