From operational priorities to tackling complex projects, and the technologies transforming the industry, our COO, Alessandro Pegorin, shares his perspective and the company’s vision for the future.
Introduction
In the highly specialized field of converting machinery, staying ahead requires more than advanced technology—it demands operational efficiency, technical expertise, and a forward-looking approach.
Our COO, Alessandro Pegorin, outlines the strategic priorities that drive daily operations, explains how the team approaches complex projects, and shares his insights into the technological trends shaping the industry in the years to come.
What unites all these efforts? A focus on people and their expertise, combined with a commitment to innovation and delivering high-quality solutions to clients.
What are the company’s key strategic priorities today?
For Alessandro, the essence of daily work lies in balancing challenging projects with strong teamwork. “It’s this combination of technical challenge and collaboration that makes our sector so exciting,” he says.
One of the main priorities is strengthening Operations, ensuring the company can consistently meet high standards in quality, cost management, and on-time delivery while handling increasingly complex projects.
At the same time, the company invests in continuous process improvement, implementing shared workflows that seamlessly connect all departments, from engineering to production and service, enabling greater coordination, efficiency, and collaboration.
Alessandro emphasizes: “Our goal is to build a solid, scalable organization that can support future growth without compromising technical excellence“. He continues: “In our field, the real competitive advantage comes from our people—their expertise, creativity, and experience drive everything we do.”
What has been one of the most complex challenges the team has faced recently?
Alessandro recalls a particularly demanding project: developing a new aluminum slitter rewinder with highly stringent technical requirements and tight deadlines.
“The complexity wasn’t just technological—it was largely organizational,” he explains. Coordinating design, procurement, production, software development, and testing required clear priorities, alignment, and ongoing collaboration across teams.
He adds: “When managing complex projects, it’s essential to create an environment where the expertise of each department can come together as effectively as possible.”
And with conviction: “Machines are designed with technology, but they are brought to life by people’s expertise.”
Which innovations will have the greatest impact on the future of industry?
The converting machinery sector is evolving rapidly, driven by higher-performing machines and increasing integration of digital technologies.
Alessandro notes: “Tomorrow’s machines won’t just be faster or more flexible—they’ll also be smarter, connected, and fully integrated with digital solutions.”
To stay ahead, the company is focused on two key areas: expanding research and development and building cross-disciplinary expertise. The goal is to continue innovating while preserving what sets the company apart: technical know-how and the ability to turn it into practical solutions for clients.
Looking Ahead: Innovation, Expertise, and Leadership in the Industry
Alessandro sums up the company’s vision: “The future of our company depends on our ability to turn know-how, talent, and energy into real solutions for our clients.”
The future of converting isn’t defined solely by machines or digital tools—it will be shaped by the ability to combine innovation, expertise, and teamwork. The company is investing in people, research, and agile processes, aiming to transform the boldest ideas into concrete outcomes for clients.
With this approach, the company is not just meeting today’s challenges—it’s anticipating tomorrow’s, strengthening its leadership, and building an organization ready to grow alongside the market.
