A series of general courses on the fundamental processes of a slitter rewinder. During these courses, you will receive comprehensive explanations on the basic principles and concepts of converting, along with how they can be implemented to enhance the machine’s main process.
What we offer
Web handling
We will provide an overview of web handling, essential for understanding and enhancing processes and material quality. Our aim with this training is to set a groundwork for future training, establishing a shared terminology and basic understanding its applications.
Tension and speed control
In winding management, web tension control is one of the most important processes because it affects the quality of the produced reel. In this course, we will analyze in detail indirect and direct web tension control using different system as dancer roller or load cells and their related characteristics.
Lateral control
We will examine the behavior of the web path, the reasons for its lateral movements, strategies to prevent and reduce wrinkles, and how spreading devices can optimize the production process. Additionally, we will provide an analysis of the various edge guiding systems currently available in the market.
Winding
The winding process is a crucial phase in the converting industry. During this course, we will examine the various winding methods, their main characteristics, and strategies to achieve the best possible outcome in producing superior quality rolls.
Winding defects
During the winding phase, the material go through significant tensions due to the process, the environment in which processing occurs, or how the material has been stored or handled previously. In this course, we will analyze the various defects that may occur during the winding phase and outline strategies to eliminate or reduce them to achieve an acceptable product quality.
Slitting
The slitting process is one of the most important in the converting market, requiring precise adjustment to ensure a quality product and minimize production defects. In this course, we will examine three most used types of slitting: blade, razor, and crush cutting.
