The IMS TECHNOLOGIES Group came out of the synergy of joining specialized, diversified companies, making us an international standard-setter in the engineering and manufacturing of high-tech customized machinery in the converting and packaging sectors.
IMS TECHNOLOGIES’s extensive know-how, expertise, and long history reaching back to 1851 equip us to develop solutions to the highest standards in terms of productivity, quality, and precision, and then bring them to market through its world-renowned brands.
In the packaging field, the Group operates through ROTOMAC, the leading provider in the world of rewinders and ancillary machines (cartoning and packaging machines, etc.) for manufacturing aluminum, cling film, and baking paper rolls for home and professional use.
Heritage, Innovation, Global Vision
From the first sparks of industrial engineering in 1851 in Darmstadt, Germany, to today’s state-of-the-art converting technologies, IMS Technologies has always been at the forefront of innovation.
Over a century ago, GOEBEL pioneered high-performance slitter rewinders for plastic films, paper, and advanced technical materials, establishing the company as a global benchmark in web processing technology.
Building on this foundation, Italian expertise joined the journey:
LAEM in Casale Monferrato specialized in slitter rewinders for flexible packaging, mastering the art of converting high-performance materials.
ROTOMAC developed rewinders and flexible production lines for household and institutional rolls, combining precision engineering with scalable solutions for everyday products.
In 2020, a new chapter began: IMS Technologies became a global group, integrating GOEBEL, LAEM, and ROTOMAC, and creating a worldwide network with headquarters in Italy, offices in the USA, and presence in Beijing.
